Patchouli - the natural solution for skin rejuvenation
Patchouli oil was frequently used as perfume during the hippie era and that's not
without reason: the powerful sweet-spicy scent is very seductive and therefore ideal as an air freshener or addition to a shampoo or cream. Besides the wonderful aroma of the oil, it also possesses fantastic properties that help keep skin and hair supple and resilient.

Base notes form the foundation of a blend. They develop slowly and remain present for hours to days. Patchouli is the classic oriental base note, with an earthy, sweet-spicy depth that anchors other scents and only becomes fuller with the years.
Patchouli Essential Oil is like a good wine: the quality improves as it ages. Over the years the oil becomes more syrupy, more powerful and more fragrant - definitely not a bad idea to keep a jar in the cupboard.
Use
Always dilute Essential Oil when using on your skin in a Carrier Oil or butter, such as almond or jojoba oil, and use no more than 1% (1ml Essential Oil per 100ml Carrier Oil).
Apply the oil (diluted) where needed on cleansed skin. You can also put a few drops of patchouli Essential Oil in your shampoo. Instead of fabric softener you can use a splash of vinegar and a few drops of patchouli oil - this makes your laundry wonderfully soft and keeps moths out of the wardrobe.
Use this oil in an oil lamp/diffuser or a scent block to spread a wonderful scent. To use the Essential Oil in the bath (and that's very nice) mix a few drops of patchouli oil with a neutral bath gel or bath oil.
