Olive Oil - Liquid Gold

Olive oil has been used as a beauty product for thousands of years by residents of the Mediterranean region. It was one of the favorite products of the beautiful Cleopatra. The ancient Greeks also called olive oil liquid gold, because it could be used for everything and was extremely valuable. There was even a penalty for cutting down olive trees!

It's no wonder that olive oil is so good for your skin, as it is full of antioxidants, including vitamins A and E, which are known for keeping skin supple and preventing premature skin aging. A special type of antioxidant, hydroxytyrosol, is particularly abundant in high quality olive oil. This substance makes olive oil extra nourishing for the skin.

Usage

Apply olive oil to clean skin, right after showering or cleansing while your skin is still slightly damp. This allows the olive oil to help your skin retain moisture and stay hydrated. Apply where needed; on your body or a small amount on your face, optionally after applying a moisturizer.

Olive oil can also be used as a hair mask for beautifully soft hair. Apply a tablespoon of olive oil to damp hair and let it work for 15-20 minutes. Then wash your hair with shampoo.
