What is Japanese Camellia Oil?
Japanese Camellia Oil, also known as Tsubaki Oil or Tea Seed Oil, is rich in plant collagen, hydrates deep into the skin and is a rich care product for your hair.
This oil is cold-pressed from the seeds of the Yabu-Tsubaki plant (Camellia Japonica), family of the tea tree plant. The oil has a golden yellow color, feels light and has many applications.
Benefits
During pregnancy
Camellia Oil is rich in plant collagen, which hydrates the skin, making it soft and supple. Camellia Oil is therefore very nice to apply to your body during pregnancy, when the skin comes under tension and can feel tight.
Powerful anti-aging properties
Thanks to the high content of plant collagen, the oil is also a beautiful anti-ager. The oil keeps the skin supple, contributes to the production of elastin and activates the skin's self-healing ability for dryness, sunburn and aging.
Hydrates deep into the skin
Japanese Camellia Oil penetrates quickly deep into the skin, where it nourishes and hydrates. This leads to supple, firm and radiant skin. The oil is suitable for every skin type, even for oily skin, because the oil does its work without clogging the pores.
Makes your hair shine
The beautifully shiny hair that the Japanese are known for, they owe partly to this rich, nourishing oil. For centuries, Camellia Oil has been used as a hair product, both for care and to style the hair. The oil makes the hair soft and manageable, hydrates, protects and repairs. In addition, the oil cares for the dry scalp.
How do you use it?
In the hair
Massage a few drops of the oil into towel-dry hair and the scalp for nourishment, hydration, protection and shine. Pay extra attention to the ends.
For an extra rich treatment, you can massage your hair with the oil before washing. Then cover your hair with a shower cap and let it absorb for about 30 minutes. Then wash your hair as you always do.
For the face
Rub a few drops of the oil warm between your hands and massage onto the cleansed skin. Make slow, circular movements. Optionally add an extra drop on wrinkles, fine lines or scars.
On the body
Apply a small amount of the oil to your skin after showering. Massage the skin until the oil has been absorbed. You can do this both in the morning and in the evening.
What makes it so special?
Japanese Camellia Oil is a rich source of plant collagen, omega fatty acids and antioxidants. In combination with the property that the oil absorbs quickly, this makes Camellia Oil a wonderful hydrating oil for the entire body. Tip: also massage your nails and cuticles with this rich oil.
