Description

More about sea buckthorn oil

Sea buckthorn oil is an orange-red oil obtained from the berries of the sea buckthorn bushSea buckthorn oil. The sea buckthorn bush grows mainly in sunny, dry areas.

Sea buckthorn oil is a delightful, warming oil rich in unsaturated fatty acids, vitamin E and carotenoids. The carotenoids give it the beautiful orange colour and together with vitamin E form the source of antioxidants in this oil. Because this oil has a very strong orange-red colour, it is best to mix it with another carrier oil before applying it to the skin. 15% sea buckthorn oil is often already sufficient.

The oil is wonderful as care after a day in the sun and supports your skin. Sea buckthorn oil is also lovely in winter for dry skin and hydrates intensively.

Use

Sea buckthorn oilApply the sea buckthorn oil where needed on your cleansed, still damp skin for maximum care and hydration. Massage the oil into your skin until it is completely absorbed.

Sea buckthorn oil can be mixed with up to 1% essential oil for a lovely fragrance and extra care, and of course used as an ingredient in a DIY body butter.

When using before bedtime, note that the oil can rub off and thus cause stains on light-coloured sheets.
