We are passionate about natural wonders. No synthetic additives or artificial ingredients for us. But we are only truly happy when our products not only help you feel good, but also when we can make a difference in the lives of people for whom building a good life is less self-evident.
That is precisely why we only work with organisations that, like us, are committed to a sustainable society.
A good example is the production of our shea butter. For this we work together with Savannah Fruits Company, a local cooperative in Ghana. They make sure that the women who harvest the nuts from the shea trees and process them into shea butter receive a fair price for their labour and products.
By partnering with Savannah Fruits, we do our bit towards a better life for these women.
Together we all strive for:
The emancipation of African women.
Creating and sharing sustainable values.
Adding value to the product at the source.
Encouraging local work (so that the traditional way of life is disrupted as little as possible and cultural and social integrity is promoted).
Creating work for young women, so that they do not have to leave the village.
Besides the fact that this way of working means the local community benefits enormously from the production of the shea butter, nature also profits from it. Savannah Fruits is also committed to the preservation of the Wechiau Community Hippo Sanctuary (WCHS).
This is a special project. Not only are the last wild hippo populations given a safe place, but it also helps the local communities in the area to develop in a way that does not come at the expense of nature and biodiversity.
And all of this thanks to the production of shea butter. It is no wonder that we are proud to be able to be a part of this.
